WELDING ENGINEER (WE)
&
ASSOCIATE WELDING ENGINEER (AWE)
The Malaysian Welding and Joining Society (MWJS) in partnership with the Japan Welding Engineering Society (JWES) will be conducting certification courses and examinations leading to the status of certified WELDING ENGINEER and ASSOCIATE WELDING ENGINEER.
The course and assessment examination is based on and meets the requirements of:
- JWES Standard WES 8103: 2008-Standard for Certification of Welding Coordination Personnel with reference to
i. ISO 3834-Quality Requirements for Fusion Welding of Metallic Materials
ii. ISO 14731-Welding Coordination – Tasks and Responsibilities
Both courses for WELDING ENGINEER (WE) AND ASSOCIATE WELDING ENGINEER (AWE) will be held:

Training course: 10 – 16 Nov 2025;
Examination: 17 Nov 2025
Venue: Danau Golf UKM, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor.
Note: The exams will be held on 017 Nov 2025
Remark: Closing date for application: 20 Oct 2025
The fees are
| (AWE) RM 4,500 | (WE) RM 5,500 |
Membership Discount: 5% for MWJS (group more than 2 pax) and 3% for IIW/AWS/AWF/ASME-Malaysia/MNS members.
